My puberty [videorecording] / Ilene Segalove. [1987]

Segalove plays herself in this re-enactment of events from her adolescent years. As "Little Ilene," she soaks up her Uncle Harry's clichés about womanhood, gets questionable advice from girlfriends, begs her mother for a bra, and falls in love for the first time--with Moondoggie in the movie Gidget Goes Hawaiian. The work evokes the period of the early 1960s with brightly colored sets and vibrant period costumes.
